About ComCap

ComCap started in 2015 as a one-day Oregon-only forum on community capital. In 2016, ComCap became a two-day national summit, with experts and local leaders from across the United States conferring together. In 2017, the ComCap National Conference was co-hosted by the City of Monterey and Middlebury Institute of International Studies in historic Monterey, CA.

Now encompassing a digital learning library and a free podcast series, ComCap will is newly stewarded by the National Coalition for Community Capital (NC3), and is set to return Spring 2019 in Detroit, MI.

One thing remains clear: people are passionate about their local economies, and want more information and resources to help them take action (that’s why we created ComCapLearn). In addition, we hope to help local visionaries host their own ComCapX events across the country, or even consider hosting the next edition of the nationwide gathering. Are you one of those visionaries?
